Terms of Service
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Company Intelligence, a company data intelligence platform operated by Unbounded Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Company Intelligence provides a data intelligence platform that aggregates, enriches, and presents information about UK companies. Our data is primarily sourced from Companies House, the official UK register of companies, supplemented by our own analysis and risk scoring.
The Service includes:
- Company search and detailed company dashboards
- Officer and person of significant control (PSC) profiles
- Ownership chain analysis and risk scoring
- PDF report generation
- API access (on eligible plans)
3. Account Registration
To access the Service, you must register for an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.
4. Subscription Tiers and Billing
The Service is offered across the following tiers:

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed securely through our payment partners (Stripe for web, Apple App Store for iOS). You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Scrape or crawl the Service, or use automated tools to extract data beyond the access provided by your subscription tier
- Resell raw data obtained from the Service, or redistribute it in a manner that competes with the Service
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical restrictions
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or unlawfully investigate individuals
- Misrepresent data from the Service as your own proprietary research without attribution
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
6. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer
The data presented through the Service is primarily sourced from Companies House and other public records. While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy and timeliness:
- We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or currency of any data
- Company data may be up to 24 hours old due to our caching and refresh cycles
- Risk scores and analysis are algorithmically generated and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for business, legal, or financial decisions
- You should independently verify any critical information before acting upon it
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service — including the software, design, branding, analysis algorithms, risk scoring models, and presentation of data — are owned by Unbounded Software Ltd or its licensors.
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own internal business or personal purposes. This licence does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.
Underlying company data sourced from Companies House is subject to the Open Government Licence v3.0.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Unbounded Software Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We shall not be liable for any loss arising from decisions made in reliance on data obtained through the Service
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings in the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms
- Your use poses a security risk to the Service or other users
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) shall continue in effect.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice within the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
